Jorge Knows: LITS Open House & St. Patrick's Day

Mar 16, 2011 by Leigh Mantle

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day - even geese!

Jorge cordially invites you to the second annual LITS Open House from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 17th (which also happens to be St. Patrick's Day  - honk if you love Ireland!).

Over 20 posters covering topics from new directions in collection development to virtual computing labs will be set up in the Reading Room. Posters are configured to spark conversations between you and the presenters. View the complete list of posters and presentations.

In addition to the posters simultaneously in the Information Commons there will be six short presentations:

  • 1:30 pm - "Home-Land" Security: Safeguarding Your Identity on the Internet
  • 1:45 pm - Mining Digital Collections for Environmental Data:
United States Congressional Serial Set and the British Parliamentary
    Papers
  • 2:00 pm - A Convent Church Rises Again
  • 2:15 pm - Mount Holyoke College Faculty and Students Travel

  • 2:30 pm - Museum: Art Images Exposed
  • 2:45 pm - Joint Tech/Mobile/Gadget Show by the CTMS Group
